Trusing God, Our Heavenly Father

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

A trusting heart always enjoys God, our heavenly Father’s rest.

As a child growing up, life in the village was very challenging, with my dad being a farmer. I remember vividly him coming home and gathering all the children, giving each one of us a coin(25c/10c) and saying, “It’s your offering for Sunday School”. That meant so much to us. Now, looking back, I realise the love and encouragement he showed us is the reason Father’s Day should be so special to all dads, especially when we think of their sacrifices and hard work. “WHAT A JOY”.

According to Luke 15:20, fathers are God’s earthly demonstration. It says, “And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.” This father truly trusted God for his son’s return from wild living. Hallelujah!

God’s Word should give us faith to trust Him more (Romans 10:17). I will gladly receive God’s Word and, therefore, hide His commands in my heart. In complete confidence, I encourage you to attend to His Word and incline your ears to His teachings. I have done so and have not regretted it. I trust fully in my heavenly Father. I will hold fast the profession of my faith without wavering, for I know He is always faithful in fulfilling all His promises to me – (Hebrews 10:23)

Prayer

O, Lord, my God, in you do I put my trust. Trusting you fills me with indescribable happiness and a deep, abiding joy. Thank You for remaining ever faithful. In Jesus’s mighty name. Amen.
